Membership 125 households / 146 individuals Established 2023 Organization Overview In 2023, Chiba Okinawa Kenjinkai and the NPO Chiba Okinawa Kenjinkai were integrated into two unified organizations.
The kenjinkai is organized into four regional branches within Chiba Prefecture and operates under a branch-based structure, providing operational support to each branch.Affiliated Org. Kisarazu Branch, Ichikawa Branch, Toukatsu Branch, Chiba Central Branch PR Not limited to Okinawans, a love for Okinawa is the key to joining our kenjinkai. By making the most of each branch’s unique strengths, we participate in local festivals. Separately, we host the “Shinka no Kai” gathering every two months. With the support of participating stores, these events are enlivened by Okinawan songs and sanshin music. It is a welcoming space where people can gather and enjoy yuntaku while sharing Okinawan culture, learning the kachāshī dance, Okinawan dialects, and finger whistling, even if they are new to Okinawa. - Chiba Okinawa Kenjinkai Activity contents
