Membership 23 （As of 2018） Established 1989 Chairperson Nagato Sakihara （Since 2013/ Term unknown) Organization Overview ・There are 23 members (official website states 82). Membership requirement is to be a person from Okinawa or had lived in Okinawa.
・Chairperson is selected by recommendation or appointment. There is 1 treasurer.
・It was established in 1989 being its first chairperson Ms. Kumiko Hokama. Members met at an international food trade fair social gathering and it was officially established in 1991 on the occasion of participating in the first Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival.
