Organization Overview・Current President: Mitsuko Logan; Term of office: 1 year; selected thru elections.
・Established on Feb. 2000 to deepen friendship among Uchinachus and families living in Dallas Fort Worth and nearby areas and to start cultural exchange activities in the community.
・Uchinanchus and people interested in our culture, history and performing arts get together to socialize and develop our network.
・Membership: 35 families, 60 people; from 1st generations to 3rd generations. (as of 2017).

DFW Okinawa Association Activity contents
Description・Hold New Year's Party、Bon Odori, day trips, meetings and picnics.
・Organize Okinawan festival, volunteer at local events, etc.
・Hold Uchinaguchi and Japanese classes, study classes and volunteer activities.
・Display our crafts and origami six times a year.
・Organize boat races, sports day and marathons.
・Have three performing groups: Ryukyu Dance, Sanshin, Kumi-odori.
