Organization Overview・Membership is restricted to those born in Okinawa and their members are 1st generation only (As of 2011)
・In the area, there is a Japanese Association, but the Okinawa Kenjinkai is the only prefecture to have an independent association among other prefectures of Japan.
・The association is based in Fayetteville City which is home to Fort Bragg, the largest military installation in the world.

Description・New Year's Party is held every year and about 300 people attend the event.
・In 2006, it celebrated its 10th anniversary with an attendance of 400 people.
・In 2016, an anniversary party was held to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
・It has invited to participate in the different events held in the vicinity. They promotes Okinawan culture and perform Ryukyu Dance and Sanshin.
