Organization Overview・We have many other members from other states like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and even California.
・First President was Tokujin Asato.
・Our board is comprised of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms and a Public Relations Officer.
・We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Okinawan customs and traditions.
・Family membership: $25; Individual membership: $15; Members are given a membership directory at the Okinawa Picnic; Membership fees are collected in March.
・Our Ambassadors: Ikuko Nichols interacts with the local community; Thomas Pressley assists our performance group; Tom Corrao maintains our web site and our editor for our quarterly newsletter.

Description・Each year we have two gatherings in the Chicago area: a New Year's Party to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year in March and the Okinawa Kenjinkai Potluck Picnic.
・Offer free Okinawan style karate, Okinawan Odori & Matsuri Daiko Eisa and Sanshin classes each Saturday.
・Accept performing requests on the Kenjinkai homepage.
・Promoted Okinawan music on stage at the 2017 Chicago Japan Fest.
