The purpose of the club is for fellowship, learning the classic Ryukyuan dance (folk dance), and being able to speak Japanese or Okinawan language. Club activities include celebrating the Okinawan New Year (Chinese New Year), yard sales, annual picnic, and performing the Ryukyuan dances.
We have been invited to perform Okinawan classic dances at local schools, colleges, military installations, International Festivals, and private parties. - Pensacola, FL Okinawa Kenjinkai Activity contents
