I am Denny Tamaki, governor of Okinawa prefecture.
As part of our ongoing efforts to promote cultural exchange with people overseas and to facilitate the understanding of Okinawan culture, the government of Okinawa is pleased to hepl present, for the first time, a theatrical production in D.C

Mermaid of the Blue Sea is a theatrical performance based on Hans Christian Anderson's A Little Mermaid.
The tale has been adapted for our contemporary audience, featuring Okinawan traditional performing art forms.
This performance has English subtitles.
